-a long story, but the short version is that Hunter's shadow reminded me of something rather horrible from my world. That's part of why I'm worried about him, is that shadow gone?

I'm not sure it's as simple as it being "gone" or not. Whatever force animated it in that way... I believe that is gone, for the time being.

But the forms those shadows took... They were likely a manifestation of something that was already inside those two to begin with.

For Bucky it seemed like his fears and worries about not being good enough of a person. For Hunter...I'm not so sure.

Might have drawn from some other kind of fear or unpleasant memory... I don't know.

We may have to steel ourselves for the possibility of our own fears coming to life like that one day.

That sounds like a tall order. Fears are irrational, it's not like you can suddenly overcome them with logic.

They aren't all irrational. But... no, it wouldn't be so easy. [He'll agree with that.]

Maybe knowing that's what we have to face will be enough to motivate people not to try killing.
