[Time to go track Harrow down in her room! Tuuri will just knock politely at the door when she gets there.]

[It takes her a few moments, she definitely has the agility of someone who only knows this by stumbling into it exactly once before. But after a couple mis-clicks in the 'settings' menu, she gets to the part to enter in a password.]

It needs to be a number, at least 4 digits. Is there one you could remember easily?

I can remember any number, but I certainly won't tell it to you.

[she'll grab the phone back and cover it while she enters a number.]

Tuuri stares blankly at the spot where the phone used to be in her hand, but after a moment she shakes her head and lets her hand drop down.]

Hopefully that keeps troublemakers out of your phone?

Do you need help with anything else on your phone? I'm no expert, but I've managed to figure out a few things just by tinkering with mine.

I have learned much about the functions of this phone. I certainly don't need assistance with it, but I appreciate your offer.

Of course! But if you do end up needing help in the future then don't hesitate to reach out, alright? I don't mind helping, especially when it comes to electrical things.

You are unfamiliar with these devices as well? I know how to use a communicator and a computer, but the functionality is different.

[polyglotti]

We don't have anything like this, no. We do have computers, but they're few and far between and mostly reserved for jobs that need them. We have phones too, but those are also rare.

[outsidebones]

So you've adapted to this place quickly. That is to your credit.

[polyglotti]

[She looks a bit sheepish at being complimented.]

It helps that it's so fascinating. And I do have some background in mechanics and technology, it's just this specific device that's new to me.

This may be a strange question, but do you have access to your magic at all here?

[She is assuming Harrow has magic of some kind, since she handles dead things like Lalli does, and Lalli is a mage.]

Where I am from, it is called necromancy, not magic.

And that's a shame. I feel like that would be very helpful right now.

Certainly. Though I am unsure in what sense you mean.

I would worry less about you if you had necromancy to protect yourself with, should someone else try something extremely stupid.

[Yeah. Bucky's words have been sitting heavily on her mind.]

That is reassuring to hear. I'll try my best not to worry.

I was thinking that we might need a group meeting to tell everyone 'don't listen to Bucky, no more killing for party invitations.'

I'm not sure how well that will go over though. Do you think people would listen?

They will not.

At least, no one who was inclined to kill for a party invitation in the first place will care.

So much for that idea.

[listen, harrow is a cynic and you don't have to listen to her but also she thinks she's right. she sighs, looking at her phone.]

It would be wise to start looking at this like a competition, because others already are. You don't have to compete the way he did. But any appeal to all of us working together and cooperating will likely ring hollow to those who see it for what it is.

If I think about it logically, I know you're right. And I know it's foolish of me to say 'people will come through in the end'. But a part of me still wants to believe that, as foolish as it may be.

[Tuuri is stuck between 'realistic' and 'hopeful' right now, and bridging the gap between the two is not easy.]

Maybe focusing on a smaller group effort would be better. Getting everyone to agree and work together is probably impossible, but cooperation with 5 or 6 other people might work.
