Finnish is the name for the people from Finland, one of the five countries in the Known World. We're the farthest to the East, and I think we're the farthest to the North too.

Maybe our worlds are similar? And Finland and Snezhnaya are the same place but in different worlds? 'Snezhnaya' certainly looks like it could be a Finnish word.

I suppose that could be true. Snezhnaya means something like "snow country" in my language.

[Finland is actually called 'Suomi' in Finnish which is actually derived from a very old word for swampland apparently.]
