It's a never-ending job, but someone has to do it. It's so finicky too, the solar panels always give us trouble. Sometimes we have to sit for hours waiting for the batteries to charge.
Solar panels are a great idea, until you're stuck with overcast weather for days on end. I could never have the patience for them. You get extra points for that!
It works for what we had to do. I've heard of coal and gas-powered vehicles, but they're not practical when you're going to be outside of the safe zones for months on end.
You are very right about that. [ nodnod! ] The mechs we operate use an energy reactor, which lets us go for longer periods of time, though we do have to be mindful of them overloading.

A little bit, yeah! It's a big robot that you get to pilot, a lot nicer than an old tank. Much faster too.
