[She's a little sad to let him go after being apart for so long, but she does and she steps back.]

Okay. I'll clear up some space for you here.

[One of the shelves will be traded out with an empty one by the time Zel returns, so he has a spot for his stuff.]

[when he comes back, she gets to see the things he's brought:

- very little clothes.
- a guitar case, with a guitar
- some books. Go The F**k To Sleep is among them.
- an ironic blanket
- a pink bracelet with a glass ornament
- a 😈-stamped box that has been heavily sealed with many layers of duct tape and has DO NOT OPEN written on it in marker.

he puts these on the shelf but gives a lingering, uncertain look at the last thing.]

[Yeah she. Is staring at that last item.]

Did they say anything when they gave it to you?

Nothing more than usual. It didn't do anything at the time I received it, but I sealed it just in case it started working again one day...

[And it turns out that actually happened, so boy is he glad he did.]

[Hilariously that sounds like it belongs in hell, so she just. Accepts it.]

It's probably best to keep it locked in the box then, yeah.

[he nods.]

Sorry... Wasn't sure what else to do with it.

[he's not going to leave it in the room for poor filbo to find...]

[Imagine if Filbo died a third time because of Pandora's Zelgadis' box. Imagine.]

It's alright. I think we can keep a dangerous artifact locked away.

[can't believe she let this guy into her home and the first thing he does is bring in this incredibly cursed jar.]

Looks like whatever was sealing all of my own powers has lifted, too.

[She pauses, and then she hastily adds more.]

It's not an insult, I know you're strong! I just thought that it was all physical, that's all.

[he shakes his head -- he's not offended. honestly, it's been nearly two months without his magic.]

Yeah, I'm a sorcerer. I usually rely on magic more than I do on my sword.

[polyglotti]

...huh. And here I thought you were primarily a swordsman.

[This is why he's a twink.]

I do a lot of both, really... I know a few enchantments I can use on my weapons to make them more effective.

[polyglotti]

That could be handy, if we end up having to fight our way out of Hell.

[She'll stay back and hold the cats, it's fine.]

Yeah... it might. It just so happens that fighting demons is one of my specialties.

[the cat-holder is an important part of any group. looks at blue hawaiian.]

Then we'll be prepared!

[She's so proud of him. The mighty demon hunter.]

We made a bunch of drinks for the party, by the way.

[hardrocklife]

Huh...

What kind of drinks?

[polyglotti]

Things that might be useful for us.

It depends on what gets approved though. We made a few that help increase alcohol tolerance, to give you guys a better shot at winning.

I see... That does sound useful. Do you remember which ones they were?

[polyglotti]

I do, but it all depends on what drinks make the final list. Once we see that, I'll tell you which ones to try.

I gave Finnish names to all the drinks I made too, so it should be easy to tell which ones I made.

[Will he know Finnish at a glance......... hm.]

Maybe I should learn a few words of Finnish...

[She visibly brightens when she hears that.]

I could teach you some things if you want! It might be handy to know anyway, if we both know it then we could talk in code without worrying if anyone can understand us.

he nods. even though he was thinking of it in a less optimistic way -- that she might feel lonely, in a place where nobody speaks her language...]

I can't promise that I'll be very good at it, but... I'll try.

[Honestly she has to learn his language for that exact reason: language barriers. It's going to be hard traveling if the two of them can't understand each other.]

Trying is enough. Finnish can be difficult to learn, but luckily you have a great teacher to help you.
