It's...kinda swampy in summer, honestly, but in the fall and winter it's quite nice. It's not just one city, it's several places spread out over a series of islands in the Saimaa lake system. It's quiet there, and life seems to go at a leisurely pace.
It's funny, as a kid I always thought life there was boring. And it kind of is still. But, like...as much as I love adventure and seeing new things, having somewhere quiet to eventually go home to is a nice thought.
