[tuuri can find harrow sometime on monday exploring the new island. specifically, she's in the aquarium room, and it sounds like she may be in there with someone else. she's looking into the tank of fish, one hand on the glass, talking as though it's to someone else in the room, but no one is there.
when she comes into the room, she blinks, startled.]
Oh - good afternoon. [even then she sounds a little oddly hesitant.]
[Talking to people who aren't there, it's fine. Harrow is a necromancer, maybe it's some magic-thing. Tuuri sometimes catches Lalli talking to himself too so.]
Hello! The fish are pretty interesting, aren't they?
[She notices the hesitation to Harrow's voice, but she decides to be friendly and forthcoming as she works to find out what's on Harrow's mind.]
I know some of them. The little bright ones aren't what I know, but these ones-
[She gestures to where the sharks are.]
-they're in the ocean. They're called sharks. They look a little intimidating, but if they don't think you have food for them then they'll leave you alone. The way we deal with them back home is to drop bait into the ocean behind our ships if they're bothering us, so they get distracted with that while we sail away. And that one-
[She looks over to the tank where the octopus should be, but she can't see it right now.]
Yeah. They're pretty elusive in my world too, but I would think they could be more easily found in a tank.
[She's up close to the glass now, trying to peer in.]
I wonder-
[Her words are cut off by a gasp as she abruptly shoves herself away from the glass. There is something rather hideous swimming in the tank now. Or at least, an illusion of it. Thanks octopus.]
[Tuuri doesn't respond verbally. Instead, she holds a finger up to her mouth in a silent 'shhhh' gesture.
Whatever is in the tank can see them though, it's very clearly perched on the glass and staring at them. It has no eyes, it's head is a mutated skull, but it's still looking at them.
Tuuri will point to the door next. 'Get out' seems like the important thing to her right now, at least with how scared she looks.]
Luckily it's just an octopus, so it doesn't break out of the tank and chase them. In fact, once they're out of the room, it will change back to an octopus.
Tuuri's still breathing heavily and holding a hand to her chest though. She looks thoroughly shaken up. It isn't until they're a fair distance from that room that she offers any kind of explanation though.]
[Right, that particular troll isn't even as bad as some of the other trolls that Tuuri has seen before. She has to remind herself that, without certain context, that particular troll is a bit scary but not downright terrifying.
It makes her feel a bit lonely, but she can't blame others for not understanding when he hasn't made an effort to explain it. She'll have to carry that burden on her own until she actually talks about it.]
...right, you're right. It's just an illusion. And it's a strong one too, if it could make you feel unsettled too.
I didn't even know an octopus could do something like that. Do you think it can read minds or something?
[How else would it know what specific troll killed her?]
