It is bad form to siphon. It is done by some, such as the Eighth, but it is a barbaric practice.

That is a part of it - even seeing through another person's eyes or experiencing something through them is of a piece with the technique.

It is the ability to use necromancy to manipulate and draw energy from another living person. It is a technique often used by the Eighth House on their cavaliers - they are not warriors so much as batteries.
