Incidentally, I am glad to see all of you, but I think it may be a good idea to publicly play up tension. I want to create the impression of division between our two groups.

Yeah, as it turns out we weren't very far away after all.

[She's a little confused by that second part though.]

I can do that, but why are we doing the whole animosity thing?

Hmm. We want to propose something to Satan, to expand the competition. But it will only work if the change is satisfactory to the demons who view this. They want to see drama and tension.

[polyglotti]

It's not a bad idea, but 'us' versus 'them' could lead to Satan saying something like "both sides have about the same number of people and don't like each other, so whichever side drinks more wins".

[Which. They do NOT want.]

Not necessarily. Satan himself is not really the obstacle here. He doesn't want that outcome, but he doesn't want to appear lenient, either.

[She thinks back to the guy that the other deadzos had told her about. The guy who liked fishing. Anyone who likes fishing can't be cruel, right?]

...I see what you mean, yeah. If Satan's on our side and will help us set things up right, then sure. I'll help.

He isn't yet, but our thinking is that if we approach him with a proposal that suits him well enough, he may be amenable.

[Oh yeah I forgot to say it before, but if Harrow can see souls then Tuuri has three of them in her.]

I think it might work, yeah. We'll give it our best shot at least.
