[harrow is aware of memshare by now and is pointedly avoiding people. she probably saw tuuri approaching and tried to walk away. but they're here now.]
[that is a spooky scene. and harrow would assume she should politely pretend not to see it but tuuri likes to draw her feelings in crayon and then throw them in the sea, or something like that. so she will politely ask.]
[Don't be jealous of her emotional capabilities Harrow, you too can learn to accept your feelings and let it go!]
A troll had broken into the train, actually. Usually the sawblades on the top kill anything that tries to drop down from above, but that one must have fallen down between the blades.
[She's talking about it normally though, so it seems not very traumatic at all. At least not in the long run. Everybody lived so it's fine.]
Yes, this makes sense. It is difficult for flesh to generate the thanergy necessary to avoid decay, which is the reason most such entities develop the taste for flesh. Even a small amount of the flesh and blood of a living creature can sustain them long enough to hold off decay for some time.
[Oh there goes the memory. Tuuri doesn't have the context to completely understand it, but she can get enough of it to make sense of the memory. There's some kind of internal politics at play here, and boy did Harrow look extremely alone there. Whatever's going on in her world, it must make her feel like she has to handle all of that on her own.
Tuuri feels sympathy for Harrow, but is careful not to let it fall over into pity. She gets the feeling Harrow would not like being pitied.]
It looks like you stumbled upon quite a secret there. Hopefully you managed to solve that mystery?

-is a troll. Or several trolls, I guess, given how many heads it had. That happens sometimes, they get stuck together and kind of meld into one being.
['given how many heads it had'
Those were some very human-looking heads and skulls on that thing btw. And one of the heads was definitely saying 'help me'.]

Date: 2023-03-01 04:25 am (UTC)What's crazy is that they never seem to rot away. As long as something else doesn't kill them, they can go on living like that for years and years.
